How to set yourself up for the best breathwork session, ever!

Here’s everything you need to know to set yourself up for big vibes and bigger feels!

How to set up your space for breathwork

  1. You will need space to sit or lie down on a comfortable flat surface: floor, mat, or sofa all work.

  2. Set up your camera so that I can see you from the waist up for the breathing portion of class.

  3. Wear comfortable clothes that do not restrict you.

  4. Have a blanket close by as body temperature may fluctuate.

  5. AirPods or any headphones will increase the intensity of the music.

  6. Bring a notebook. The moments after breathwork are often when you are most open.

  7. Try not to eat food right before class.

A few other suggestions -

  1. Turn the lights down/off or cover your eyes with something (eye mask, scarf etc.) Our eyes sometimes get sensitive and darkness helps them relax so you can focus on your body

  2. Bring photos, candles, personal objects. These can be supportive.

  3. Put on Chapstick before class in case your lips get dry.

What will I feel?

Can't tell you for sure. Anyone who claims they can is lying. It’s your body after all; you’re the wise one here! That said, everyone responds differently based on their body, system, and life experiences.

Here’s what I’ve witnessed facilitating 100s of Soul Breathwork sessions -

  • release of stress and anxiety

  • clear messages, ideas, and direction

  • psychedelic visions and experiences

  • pure relaxation and joy

  • pain relief

  • resurfacing of memories

  • mental clarity

  • purging of deep anger and resentment

  • deep healing of trauma

I’m skeptical of breathwork!

I love your skepticism! If you are little skeptical of breathwork we’ll probably get along. I promise you this: if you come from an athletic background, are very logical, consider yourself strong and don’t feel much, feel a lot of emotions all the time, or want to "do the work" everyone is talking about but don't know where to begin, breathwork is a really good bridge.

Also I’ve converted many naysayers (me being Skeptic 0), into loyal breathwork fans in the last few years.

If you have any of the the following conditions: epilepsy, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, high internal eye pressure, retinal detachment, previous strokes, diagnosed psychosis and anxiety disorders, recent injuries and broken bones, please check with a doctor before our session.
